Spring Chorus Concert 2004...

Was freakin' awesome! What a great way to say goodbye to the choral department seniors. Several hours of total and complete awesomeness, followed by sentimentality beyond imagination. I don't want to recap the whole night, just some highlights.

• The Beau Brummels: Centerfold. I mean. How courageous can you get to put on short shorts and go out in front of 500+ people?
• Cabaret Singers: Hairspray. Talk about accomplishment. Like woah. Very nice job Emily and Leigha on the choreography, and nice job everyone else on performing it.
• Chamber Choir: Elijah Rock. Um, can you say FREAKING AWESOME? I don't mean to toot my own horn, but holy crap, we're good! I really think we were flawless on this, and everyone loved it. Not just me. A great way to go out.
• The Quintessentials: Barbara Ann. You guys rock. You had a standing ovation before you were done singing. I look forward to getting my CD. I love each one of you to death, and I'll miss you all when you're gone.
• Me: Chamber Choir. It was so much fun to do. It's not often that I take the spotlight in a performance and just show off, but here I loved every second of it. And everything I said about Chamber Choir is the truth. I will miss the hell out of every single graduating senior in Chamber Choir. I'm not really all that emotional a person, but I had the moistness of the eyes by the end of this thing.

  People came up to me all day the day after and told me how much they enjoyed my song. That made me feel super-excellent. I love everyone.
