My Summer Schedule 2004
During the summer of 2004, I did a great deal of fascinating things. A run-down:
- June 13-19: UNC Music Camp. 'Twas awesome as usual. Unfortunately, I had to miss my cousin's wedding to attend, but I enjoyed it despite my guilt.
- June 24: I became eligible to take the driving test and trade in a pathetic Learner's Permit for a license. Between one thing and another, I didn't actually get my license until July 15, but I did get it.
- July 5-16: I'm designed and ran the lighting for CYT, which stands for Community Youth Theatre. This took up my mornings (also, unfortunately, requiring me to wake up before 11).
- Late July: I may be going to Maryland with Mom to help her with a training workshop. By "help" I mean that I will provide tech support and comic relief. (This one didn't happen, even though I was kind of looking forward to it.)
- Just before the beach, I helped my mom paint her office at work.
- I also went to a Durham Bulls game.
- Throughout the summer: I'll probably end up helping out with One Song's summer play, The Love of Three Oranges. (This didn't happen either. I'm lazy. I did help them strike it, though, in the rain. It was icky.) I was going to stage manage it, but nooooo. I had to go to--
- August 7-14: The Beach! What more can be said?
- Anytime: I will pursue each and every money-making opportunity that I encounter. That doesn't mean I'll seek things out, though, and I promise you nothing will fall in my lap. So I'll be doing a lot of helping out around the house. (My parents. If I don't occupy myself, they get to make me do things. The bathroom, evidently, needs painting.) On second thought, maybe I will seek out some jobs. Everyone tells me it's too late, and I'm inclined to believe them.
- Otherwise...I'll be doing absolutely nothing. Look me up if you're interesting; we'll hang out. (No stalkers please.) That's what summer's for, you know? Hanging out.
- Of course, the notable absence on this list is...my summer reading for AP Literature. I didn't do much of that.
So, that's my fascinating summer.
