Site Updates

The most recent site updates are shown first. All links point to the initial posting location of a file. While we try to keep files in relatively the same place, you may still get a 404 if you try to access something. Chances are, it's still there, but it may not be in the same place. Try looking for it, and if all else fails, e-mail me and ask.

In addition, this page only contains those site updates made from 2006-present. For older updates, see the links at the bottom of the page.

May 2, 2009

  • Added a true story about ducks that happened today.
  • Added a bunch of photos (still unlabeled) to my People and Things gallery. I'm planning to move some of them over to the Nature gallery, too.

November 2, 2008

  • Added over 50 pictures to Fall 2008, up-to-date through Halloween.
  • To be honest, I probably won't have time to write much for the website until around Christmastime, because I'm doing a lot of writing for school and my internship. I'll try to keep the front page up-to-date.

August 31, 2008

  • Totally revamped the organization of the People and Things photo pages. Because there were 300+ thumbnails on that page, it was starting to take some time to load. I figured as I added photos, the problem would only get worse, so I decided to head it off before it got truly annoying. There were previously little headings separating groups of photos; whenever I would add some, I would give them a new group heading. Now, each of those groups is its own page, accessible by clicking the thumbnail from the main Photos page under the heading "People and Things." I'm also considering merging "Special Events/Trips" with "People and Things" since most of those events and trips fit smoothly into the chronology of photos, and that would make things easier to find (it's always been somewhat arbitrary what qualified as important enough to be a "Special" event).
  • Added 20 pictures from Raleigh to my photos from Summer 2008. I took these at work or around where I worked. Everything from "The roof of the legislative building" to "Legislative Week in Review studio" is new.

August 28, 2008

August 24, 2008

  • Updated the Links page to remove dead links and add a software section.
  • Working on some other stuff...no ETA yet, but watch this space.

August 17, 2008

  • Added a bunch of pictures to People and Things. Separate Beach 2008, DC Trip, and Legislature/Raleigh photo pages coming soon.
  • Changed the organization of the main Photos page with thumbnail photos for each collection.

July 19, 2008

  • Added something to Computer Pictures for the first time in a long time. Frequenters of my Facebook profile will find nothing new.

July 6, 2008

January 30, 2008

  • Added photos of my recent (awesome) trip to New Orleans to the photo gallery.

January 21, 2008

  • Added plenty of photos (a whole semester's worth, and then some) to the People and Things photo album.
  • More to come? I'm not sure.

November 12, 2007

  • For those of you hungry for an update, I bring you RA Training 2007: a bunch of unlabeled photos I took during RA Training. A littly heavy on the fire extinguisher demo, I admit, but I put them up for a practical purpose.
  • Additionally, the copyright status of my photos is now enumerated specifically in the page I like to call Copyright Information for Photographs. If you're thinking of using one of my images, read it. Love it.

August 27, 2007

  • Added my class schedule for this semester. Now you can track my progress hour-by-hour.

July 28, 2007

  • Have you ever noticed how I will make many updates in the course of a few days, and then forget all about my website for decades? Yeah. Me too.
  • Added an article about Agnes of God to the Theatre section.
  • Added tons of photos, including one to the Nature folder. Mostly, though, they went to the typical People and Things folder.
  • Moved What's Your Major? and Stephen Goes to England to the archives, because they are old.

July 27, 2007

  • Brought the Theatre section more up to date with entries for Julius Caesar and Real Rhodes.
  • Updated and changed the formatting a little bit for My Theatrical Resumé.
  • Fixed some things that were bugging me from yesterday's update. Nothing you should go back for.

July 26, 2007

  • Added the Werner Reunion 2007 page.
  • Added a corresponding Photos folder.
  • Changed the style sheet (subtle things, nothing more).
  • Updated the About Me page. It's now a little more factual than it was.
  • Added a link to the Links page.
  • The Internet Archive Wayback Machine gave up on my website in September 2005. Hopefully I'll be able to convince it that I'm still actively updating things, but probably not.

February 12, 2007

  • I hear your critiques. Why would I maintain a webpage if I never intend to update it? The problem is that I never feel I have enough time to make an Update like the one I made in June. I realized, however, that people would probably prefer small, more frequent updates to colossal, annual updates.
  • To this end, I have added some pages to Things That I Like.
  • Although I have pictures to upload, going through them to decide which ones are worth publishing would have delayed this update by at least 12 hours, and so I decided to go without them for now. Stay tuned.

June 22, 2006

  • I have been working on this update for about three weeks. I hope it's extensive enough for you.
  • Most immediately obvious, I designed and uploaded the swanky new Three Pistol Nun banner at the top of every page. Clicking it will return you to the main page.
  • I wrote and uploaded a humorous look at the process of returning home after completing a year of college. It is entitled What's Your Major?, and it's on the menu.
  • The next task was to bring the Theatre section up-to-date. This meant writing many brand-new reflections of plays long past:
  • I sorted the lists of plays in My Theatrical Resumé and the main Theatre page most-recent-first, since that's the way resumés are supposed to be.
  • I also added some dozen pictures to the Photos section. Check them out, for they are neat.
  • If that wasn't enough, I've added a new section (under Site Fixtures on the menu) called Things That I Like. This section will feature me talking about things that I like, including books, movies, music, television shows, computer/video games, people, places, events, activities, bodies of knowledge, gizmos, plants, animals, foods, and more. I've opened the section with nearly a half-dozen articles. Please enjoy them.
  • Added a link to LDraw.org to the Links page and reluctantly removed www.meltediceguy.com (Andy's now-defunct website) from that page.
  • I updated the information and photograph in the About Me page.
  • I also updated the About This Site page.
  • I cleaned up some of the articles that were previously in limbo: no longer on the mainpage, but not yet in the Archives. These include my spring 2006 class schedule, Breaking My Wrist, Kansas 2005, Stephen Goes To College, etc.

March 30, 2006

  • Added a link to the Vibrated Cornstarch experiment on the Links page.
  • Whenever I notice a glaring mistake in the England summary, I correct it quietly. That's why its "last updated" date doesn't agree with this page.

March 23, 2006

  • By the end of this evening, you will have everything you could possibly want concerning my trip to England. The article is already complete, as are the Photos, but I need to merge them and add chapter headings for the article. This will occur after dinner. Then I will add it to the menu and make a news post, and then I will go into hiding for several months while I do schoolwork.
  • The end of this evening is near at hand, and the article is complete. It is also a masterpiece in my estimation. Here it is: the complete Stephen Goes to England article.
  • Of course, the page is accompanied by even more photos from the trip, viewed from the England 2006 photo page, which has been added to the Photos index.
  • As promised, there is a new news post. It's a good one, too.

March 21, 2006

  • Added several days' worth of information to the England page; there is only one day left to narrate. Still no photographs, although I have downloaded them to computer, because I haven't decided which ones to use and how to use them. Stay tuned, though.

March 20, 2006

  • Changed the link to Hanes Theatre on the Links page because the location has changed. Check out the new one; it is quite cool-looking.
  • Started on the article summarizing my trip to England, but I won't put it on the menu or make a mainpage post until it and all applicable photographs are in place. This takes time, so please be patient. You should know that the article is already written, it just needs to be typed in and appropriately marked up. Since it takes up about eighteen pages in my marble notebook, this process is a lengthy one. As for the photos, I haven't even downloaded them from my camera yet. Keep checking back, though.

March 1, 2006

February 11, 2006

  • Added photos of the snow.
  • I noticed that the One Song Productions domain has expired, and so I've removed the link from my links page indefinitely. Hopefully, One Song will decide to renew their domain, but if they don't, this link will never reappear. However, using web.archive.org you can still access historical One Song pages.

February 5, 2006

  • Added a custom 404 Error Message that will come up whenever you try to do something wrong.

January 29, 2006

January 17, 2006

  • Changed the information about Andy on the About Me page.
  • Changed a minute few things in About This Site. You don't care about them, believe me.
  • This is one of those substance-free updates, if you know what I mean. (I mean, of course, that I'm adding absolutely no actual content, I'm just tweaking things here and there because I have nothing better to do.)

January 16, 2006

  • Actual substance? What could bring such a thing about?
  • Added an article about The Mousetrap, my second high school show.
  • Added an article about My Fair Lady, my third high school show.
  • Added Choreo Collective's Current Collection 2005 to My Theatrical Resumé.
  • Re-initiated the long-dormant Guestbook.
  • Added the Wayback Machine to the Links page.
  • Made a tiny change to the style sheet for the news box. Links should now appear greyer.

January 15, 2006

  • Typed up my Spring schedule for your perusal. Look how busy I am all the time. Added a link to it on the slightly-rearranged menu.
  • Added last year's updates to the archive menu, even though you can also access them from the bottom of this page.

January 11, 2006

  • There are now many more photographs available for your perusal:
  • There are two new ones at the top of the Nature page.
  • There is a new directory of photos and captions from my beach trip last summer entitled Beach 2005.
  • There are a few images from my Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks in the People and Things folder, listed under today's date.
  • Added a notice of public domain-ness at the top of all my photo pages.
  • I also updated My Theatrical Resumé.

January 10, 2006

  • First of all, it's a new year. As a result, I've cleared this page of updates and moved the 2005 updates into an archive (see bottom of page).
  • Additionally, I've done something quite remarkable, to which I have made reference in my news post. I have finished, once and for all, nineteen months after the event it describes, Breaking My Wrist. The sixth and seventh chapters are new today.
  • I improved the layout of the Contact Me page.
  • I also added some links to the Links page.
  • It's not a big update today, but it comes with a promise of future updates.
